Attics and roofs are the largest sources of heat gain and heat loss in a building.  Conditioned air for heating and cooling that owners and proper managers have paid for can escape through gaps and cracks, resulting in higher utility bills and making the building less comfortable. 

Spray-applied polyurethane foam (SPF) insulation applied in the attic, on the underside of the roof decking or on the ceiling stops uncontrolled air leakage and thermal transfer to control indoor temperatures and keep energy costs under control.

High-performance WALLTITE® closed-cell SPF products especially well suited for unvented commercial flat roof assemblies, interior attic spaces, and ceiling areas where the underside of the roof deck must be insulated, air sealed, and vapor controlled as part of a continuous building envelope strategy. When applied directly to the underside of the roof deck, WALLTITE® helps to reduce thermal transfer, and manage condensation risk in hard-to-detail overhead areas.  In addition, WALLTITE® holds approvals from Miami-Dade County for wind-uplift resistance, while also being recognized as a secondary water barrier.

ENERTITE®  open-cell systems can also provide the necessary thermal performance where space, vapor and moisture considerations are not as critical, while providing superior sound absorption properties desired.  BASF holds extensive approval for hourly rated ceiling designs across the entire insulation portfolio.

Using either open-cell or closed-cell SPF insulation in different design strategies will help improve comfort and indoor environmental quality of the building, as well as providing heating and cooling savings.

WALLTITE® is a high-performance, closed-cell spray polyurethane foam (SPF) insulation that creates a seamless insulating air barrier to help improve the energy efficiency, comfort, and durability of homes and buildings. Spray-applied as a liquid, WALLTITE® expands and adheres to most substrates, flowing into cracks, joints, and hard-to-reach areas to form an airtight seal.
